Ok, son (8330) and I (9630) have both upgraded to 1.7 and rebooted. Mine seems to be working better - the 'Send' option works now.

On the 8330, my son is seeing duplicate sent messages. Here are 2 screen shots - one from my device and one from his.

I work for a large company, where a number of employees are switching to blackberry's. I have tested many after market programs, and kept up with many of the Blackberry Blogs to know what is the best functional programs for the blackberry, that I am now the one they come to for both advice and recommendation. One of the programs that I highly recommended is the Empower Mail Viewer Pro, which many have chosen to purchase. I am now intereted in testing out your new program for a better SMS viewing. I have the blackberry curve 8330 on a 4.5 OS, and look forward to be given the opportunity to to test your beta product. Thank you.

Sincerly,

my email and sms inboxes are separate, however, i am seeing the sms in both places.

if i have sent out a message, and then receive a reply, instead of showing 1 msg, it shows 2 (i assume it's the incoming as well as outgoing), which is rather confusing.

i just am downloading 1.7 now, hopefully that will fix some issues.

the incoming-outgoing message problem has been solved. it would really be neat as the others have said, if this could get integrated into our smses so that there isn't a repeat in both places. the program is actually really good because i do love the fact that it looks like though there is an actual coversation happening! hope to see more from this program!

Hey, can someone PM me the link? I received it from Ani this weekend and accidentally deleted it from my BB.

I still have the email at home, but I don't want to wait until after work to start playing with it.

For those of you who probably are going to ask for the link too, you need to register your device with Ani before you can download it.

Received a new email from Ani...

1. Error in outgoing messages fixed.
2. Changes in the way new SMS are composed. Instead of the dropdown chooser that created problems on suretype devices, we now have addressbook selector.
3. Now by default the SMS would go to a single person. To add more recepients, select "Add To:" from the menu.
4. Double entries on CDMA devices - attempted fix.
5. Debugger code to report errors.

The new app versions are:
Empower Central (1.75)
Threaded SMS (1.01)
Bubble Theme (0.11)

upgrading now.

yep, just got the email, upgraded. it seems smoother now :D

Also, after step 2, do not forget to reboot your phone, because the bubble theme will not install. it will show as an incompatibility with the modules already installed. reboot, and then download the Bubble Theme (step 3), and voila, you're good to go.

Yes, i have received PM's for the links. If you have not read the first post Ani made, please read..you have to have your device registered with Ani. We can all send you links, but if you do not have your device registered, it's not gonna work now is it? hence we're the beta testers

Houston, we have a problem.

I am not able to see any of my outgoing text messages, yet the recipients are getting them and I can see their replies. No sent text showing in the ThreadedSMS app or in the SMS icon.

Kinda weird.

Very interesting. Not having that issue.

I would try another reboot to see if it clears it up.

Already did a battery pull Here's a pic, too, for reference. What you see is what my sister in law sent to me, after each time I sent something to her.

I would say it looks like your sister-in-law likes to talk to herself .

That is strange, have not experienced that. Maybe if you uninstall and reinstall the new versions. I wonder if that would help.

hmm, not having that problem.. but yes, it does look like your sister in law is talking to herself.

maybe.. install step 1, reboot (you do get the reboot option after step 1 as well), install step 2, reboot and then step 3? maybe that might help?

If I have to reboot my Tour 3 times to install this I may give up. It takes almost 5 minutes for a reboot

I'm trying the 'fresh install with 1 reboot at the end' approach now.

5 mins on the tour? holy!!

but yes, reboot only after step 2 then.

Standing by for a positive re-install!

I don't think she'll have to reboot after step 2 this time as she removed the previous versions. I believe we only needed to reboot as the .cod was already in place.

I am sure she'll verify this for us.

Did the fresh install of all 3 apps and did a soft reset (ALT-CAP-DEL). Now it won't send anything, and ignores me when I click 'SEND'.

I'm currently 4.5 minutes into the battery pull. *sigh*

EDIT: After the reboot, it appears I can send, since the screen changes after clicking SEND, but the conversation with my sis in law doesn't show in the list. I have 'No Messages'. When she replied, I suddenly have the the conversation with just her reply.

Same as before, I send (but can't see it) and only see her side of the conversation.

I had the same issue when I upgraded to the new versions. I sent from the native SMS app and it worked fine, then the threaded SMS would send as well.

I assume a battery pull will fix the send issue too.

And actually, the messages did send in my case, although the app didn't show it. My recipient did receive the message 4 times.

Well, I received the latest update from Ani. I installed it and rebooted after installing all three programs. If you are supposed to reboot after installing one of them, shouldn't the installer state so?

Anyway, it isn't working correctly. I send a message through the Threaded SMS program. After I send it, it doesn't show up in any list: the native SMS app or the Threaded SMS app. When I receive a reply, it only shows up in the native SMS app.

I'll try uninstalling everything and reboot after each program is installed.

I deleted all the programs: Bubble Theme, Threaded SMS, and Empower Central. I then reinstalled each program in the order recommended and rebooted after each install.

I can send an SMS message from the Threaded SMS app. After I send it, the Text Messages screen shows "No Messages". There isn't a copy of the SMS sent in the native SMS app. Is there supposed to be?

I know the message was sent because I get a reply from my friend in the native SMS app. Nothing shows up in the Threaded SMS app.

Of course, everything works when I send SMS texts from the native app: sent messages show up and replies show up, but I don't get the threads. Is the Threaded SMS app supposed to integrate itself with the native app or do I have to keep using the Threaded SMS app?

Am I supposed to do something else after installing?

Ok, so my sms and my Messages inbox is separate.

the incoming messages show in both the native and threaded sms program

however, if i send a message from the native program, it shows up in the threaded program as well so it looks like i'm having a conversation (something which the others are having a problem with no?). BUT, if i send a message from the threaded program, it will not show up in the native SMS program.

If i send out a message from the native program, and i get a reply back.. then instead of 1 message it shows 2. (incoming and outgoing). I am still having issues with the duplication of the SMS icons.

I installed the latest Empower Central app (v1.76) released this morning. I can now see the text message sent from the Threaded SMS app. However, the text message doesn't show up in the native SMS app. Is the sent message supposed to show up in the native SMS app too?

Also, replies still don't show up in the Threaded SMS app, but do show up in the native SMS app.

The Threaded SMS app just shows one side of the conversation, my side. So, it looks like I'm talking to myself.

Maybe you should talk to my sister in law

I'm waiting until another release comes out later today (per Ani's email this morning) to resume testing.
