Default Free barcode reader (REAL UPCs) - 10-28-2009, 07:10 AM

It's in the beta stages but it still works very well, you can find it at edocrab*|*Leave the Jungle. Hit the Beach. (SM) or on appworld BlackBerry App World - edocrab (Beta)

I just thought I'd share this with you all since I remember being very disappointed with the QR code readers out there (like BeeTagg) and how unpractical they were.

I should also mention that your BB's camera must support autofocus for this to work as intended. Otherwise, you can still manually input the barcode and it'll give you similar results.

Oh Auto-Focus bah. No wonder it kept giving me the "hardware error" when I tried to use it with my 8310. But the app itself is very nice. Price guides are great, altho I did find some "reviews" to be for different products then the one searched for. Oh well I just wanted to try it out anyway... I since then deleted it. ;)

Never again will I go through life without a berry by my side.

I tried using this app in the past, on load it would crash give me a frowny face then reboot my device. I gave up and removed it.

I downloaded the app and have scan half the office and have not yet be able to get a scan barcode to work. I dont know if im not taking the picture right which I doubt cause i have taking a picture of everything in the office with different settings or that the app is just not working at all. Any feedback on this app from other members?
