Default Weather Software - 10-28-2009, 03:08 PM

I am trying to find a good weather program. My current favorite, and I use that term loosely, is WeatherEye, although it occasionally cannot find any data for my area (Newport News, VA). Weatherbug, which I have tried, is often inaccurate and clumsy.

Are there any better programs out there? The ability to check weather in multiple locations is nice but not necessary. Hour-by-hour forecasts, again, not necessary but nice.

Any recommendations?

That's an old article. The current version of BBweather is 0.89.1 and can be downloaded here:

If your willing to pay for a weather app check out Berryweather
Berryweather 2.0 is currently in alpha testing and is going to be very nice.

Ture, but the OTA link in that article installs the .89 version.

OTA link is: http://www.tateu.net/software/bb.php?f=BBWeather_alpha

Ditto this. I don't know all the changes anticipated but expect it will build on the existing inclusion of radar maps and custom radar maps as well as GPS and cell location capabilities - probably expanding Cell location to CDMA devices (currently works well for GSM devices) at some point.

Is there an app (or website for that matter) that provides daily forecast info without a huge footprint or taking up a lot of temporary memory? I normally used WeatherBug but I think it has recently caused a memory link since the OS update and now I am looking for something simpler.

with bbweather I find it difficult to view the temp number (on weather icon) on the home screen no matter what color or font I change it to
