Default Anything Like Opera For Verizon 8330? - 10-29-2009, 10:16 AM

Theres a few things I can't access on my 8330 because the site recognizes I am on a Blackberry. I can't download Opera because it says its not compatable with Verizon. Is there any good alternatives?

Also, will I have to get rid of the stock browser or can I leave that as the default and only use the other one when I want to?

Wirelessly posted (Lets Go Canes!)

Which Opera Mini? 4.2 should work.

Maybe because I am trying to download it rather than doing it over the air?

It says right on the download screen..

Note to North-American users
Opera Mini is available to all Sprint and Cingular customers. Availability for T-Mobile customers is dependent on the subscription plan. BREW-enabled phones, including Verizon, are currently not supported.

Thank you.

It works. I've used it on a Verizon 8830 and 8330.

I installed it over the air just fine.

I googled "BREW Devices" and found out what that means. Why doesn't Opera say "This DOWNLOAD (not the software itself) isn't compatable with Verizon, please download the software over the air instead."?

It would have prevented this question at least.

Thanks guys.
