Default Slingplayer mobile Blackberry Bold - Installation problems - 11-03-2009, 06:48 PM

I recently purchased a brand new Blackberry Bold 9000 and installed the Slingplayer mobile application successfully. Moments later I accidentally deleted the application and have since attempted every tip I could find in all forums in attempt to reinstall it. Unfortunately this has been unsuccessful and I always get the same error message three quarters into the download;

Download failed

'907 Invalid COD
HTTP Error 502: Bad Gateway'

I have taken all the measures below and reran the application each time in attempt to fix the issue but I always get the same message above;

- Taken out battery and sim card
- Deactivated WIFI leaving on only Vodafone 3G
- Deacticated Vodafone 3G leaving on only WIFI
- Left on both 3G and WIFI
- Updated latest blackberry software
- Sent my phone into Vodafone for a Vodafone software upgrade and reinstallation (1 week without my phone!)
- Spoken to Slingbox customer support to ensure I am downloading the right Slingplayer Mobile (version 1.0.0.11)
- Went into 'set application permissions' prior to downloading and permitted all options

As you can see I have tried everything! I have noticed some forums suggest that the blackberry has issues with when you install a program, delete it and then try and reinstall it. With this type of error some have suggested to download the application onto a PC and then transfer it onto the blackberry handset. Only problem is the Slingplayer mobile can ONLY be installed on the blackberry handset!!! I am really lost as to what else I can try.

I've now had this issue for 2 months and have never been so stumped at trying to resolve something, can someone please suggest a solution? This must exist!! Sure this has happened to others. Even with other applications that only permit you to downloading an application directly onto the handset?

Seems like there's no fix for this other than replacing the handset....
