Default Stock Symbols and Pocketday Pro - 11-04-2009, 09:04 AM

When I upgraded from my 8800 to 9700; I had to re-do all my settings for PocketDay Pro. Can someone help me out getting some stock symbols? Is there a good website to pick those up from? I know Yahoo Finance was recommended -- good for stocks, not for indices!

Actual stocks, I have the symbols -- looking for specific indices which I had previously: S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial, FTSE 100, etc.

Thanks

Trying to find the symbols for indices, not company stocks, is tough. It took me a while to figure them out, but perhaps that was just me.

Bloomberg, SP-SPTSX:IND Dow-INDU:IND Nasdaq-CCMP:IND Try those and see if they work. I actually prefer using Bloomberg after trying out a bunch. Your stocklist can also included indices and funds.

Mutual funds are not working right now and have not since before 11/04. I have been exchanging emails with the makers of PocketDay and they are working on it. Actually they said it is their "Provider" is working on it. My most recent email from PocketDay was at 12:17 PM CST this afternoon (they have duplicated the issue).

Here are my symbols and the first two are the ones that are not working. They will show current price but not the % changes, the high / low ranges, etc...

Thanks guys.

It'd be nice if PocketDay Pro would also support giving us the ability to label the stocks or indices instead of these cryptic symbols sometimes.
