Lightbulb GMail App 2.0.7 Released

Please Login to Remove!

Google has released a new version (2.0.7) of their GMail Application for the Blackberry. Of course no Change Log given.

Go to m.google.com/mail on your Blackberry to get it.

*Note - It comes up with 2.0.6 on the site, but when you click download it idisplays version 2.0.7.

I really haven't notice any changes, anyone else?

It's wierd. I have read all over the web about this supposed 'version 2.0.7' that is hiding behind the advertised 2.0.6 on the gmail website.

Whenever I download it, it is still 2.0.6 which does not work if I use wifi, yet all the other services do work.

It's NOT been pulled back... I just checked. The webpage says 2.0.6, but when you click through the "INSTALL NOW" page (which shows 2.0.6), the download page shows 2.0.7...

And I have never known Google to release OS or model specific versions of their mobile apps for BB.

Not sure what the issue is, but it works for me. Adam, what do you see when you try to download?

You'll get 2.0.7 if you have OS 5. OS 4 should get 2.0.6.

Thank you. That explains why the 7290 user has what they have. Do you see anything significant with the latest build?

Not really. I am not a heavy user... more casual... haven't noticed a thing.

Not quite true -- I have 2.0.7 on my 9630 (aka Tour) with OS v4.7.1.61. Possibly the version is related to device screen resolution.

I assumed 5.0 because my 4.5 and 4.6 devices got 2.0.6. Maybe 4.7 is the cut off. The resolution of my 5.0 device is 320 x 240, the same as my 4.5 device was. My 4.6 device is 240 x 320.
