I can't seem to get it to connect to my computer. I have the server on my desktop. Password enabled. I type in the IP addy in the BB program along with the port then the password, but it doesn't connect.

I too had all sort of isues with this application and finally I went and tried desktop mobile, and it worked like a champ. Granted that is a $30 application, but it is a one time expense and it works great, I installed it at work on three machines, and at home and I can connect with no problems at all. Also the advantage over desktop mobile is that the screen is minimized to your BB size for ease of scrolling and you always have the option to zoom in if you need a bit larger for reading.

My guess is you have a firewall enabled or your router isnt setup for port forward the VNC ports. I have 5100/5800/5900 forwarded here, (5900 is for the html page).

I've tried desktop mobile too, it works quite nicely... but personaly i've stuck to VNC since I remote desktop into my Mac and PC that switches between XP and FreeBSD. So desktop mobile wouldn't work for everything.

I recommend that you try our Idokorro Mobile Desktop software, it's a VNC client for BlackBerry, specifically optmized for the BlackBerry 8700, but also works on any color BlackBerry with 4.0 or higher.
