Anyone experincing problems with FreeNews?
Summary of my problem:
Errors downloading my rss feed this past week.
" (5) communication error: Unexpected EOF pos
T:999 @ 1:2:[whitespace] )java.io.IOException"

I have searched and tried many alternatives to fixing this problem. I seem to be able to get it working by rebooting and re-connecting. This works once and then have to reboot re-connect to get working again. Freerange tech support is looking into the problem...
Also about once a week, I can't connect to RSS feeds and have to power down - remove battery and re-connect before it will work. This happens at least once a week!
I downloaded Newsclip in the interim and it is working problem free. Nice product, but since I already paid for FreeNews would like to get it working.

Try changing something on the online site. I had the same problem for a couple or days, but it was cuz they were fixing something on the server. So, change something on your account (rename a feed or something), then restore default settings on the device. Did it for me...

Thanks Dranger.
It's working now. I did finally get an email from Free Range saying they had a server issue.

I tried NewsClip in the interim and found it worked very well. I prefer the FreeNews layout though.
