Default Speech to text

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone would recommend any dictation software to convert speech into text. I have seen that Dragon Naturally Speaking have brought out a version for the iphone. Does anyone know of anything similar for the Blackberry?

Regards

Ben

Hi Ben (berry23),

Try MyCaption.com. It supports consistently accurate speech-to-text conversion of business-length email, plus other good stuff like calendar, tasks, memos, contact notes, and text messages. A free trial is available.

Vlingo is cool.... but it does make mistakes so you'll want to speak clearly and check what it types. I have found some of the mistakes to be funny!

So, I was sitting in the first class cabin on a flight the other day and started chatting with the woman next to me. Turns out she was a Nuance rep, the folks who make Dragon dictation software, which I use on my office computer. As I was telling her how much I like it, I mentioned my desire to have something like it for my Blackberry. Low and behold, she whips out her Blackberry and has a beta demo of the Dragon dictation software on it. She did a flawless demo of it right there in the airplane before we took off. I nearly wet myself and threatened to steal her phone right on the spot. She said the Blackberry version would be rolling out "proabably early spring".

I know that you can find lots of posts with rumors about a BB version of Dragon, but I have seen it with my own eyes. I can't wait. HURRY, Nuance!!!
