Talking HelloWorld 4.0.2 Released

Please Login to Remove!

HelloWorld has been 4.0.2 Released.

New features include:

- Information Caption will popup when you scroll over a marker. You can press 'space' to scroll through currently selected markers and press 'enter' to get more info on a selected location.

- The Business Results have been improved. You can now download more business results to find the place you're looking for. If you enter a business name or type and don't specify a location then HelloWorld will search the current map area, just like Google.

- HelloWorld is now smarter when you're zooming to locations you've already visited. It won't download tiles at new zoom levels unless you request them. Save your bandwidth, save your time.

- There's a new and improved search screen. You can now automatically retrieve an address from your Address Book, 'My Places', 'Business Results' or your current map position.

- If HelloWorld happens to get stuck you can exit it and save your images (it might take a minute to save the data). Start it back up and you're good to go right were you left off.

HelloWorld 4.0 is a free upgrade for all registered users and a free trial for everyone so download it and tell me what you think. Now get out there and start searching. Thanks!

Oh, and for all of you out there with 7520's and 7100i's, HelloWorld GPS is just for you .

I got helloworld 3.1.15 and I like it. My company won't let me buy any apps so I got to get free versions of everything. I miss out on somethings but at least I got a blackberry. Is there a free version for this 4.0 or just free trial? Thanks, Cody

3.1.15 is also a free trial (they're both unlimited free trials ) So you can download 4.0 and enjoy all the new features. You just have to put up with the "Unregistered" text on the screen if you don't want to purchase a license.

I'm having trouble downloading the new version of HelloWorld GPS. When I try to load the alx file it says files are missing and when I try ota it says invalid jar. A friend of mine was having similar problems.. is this a broad problem or something I'm doing wrong?

Thanks!

Make sure you have at least OS 4.0 installed on your Blackberry. HelloWorld GPS runs on the 7520 and 7100i from Telus and Nextel. If the installation probelms persist please tell me what blackberry model you have, what carrier you're with any other details you can think of (about the blackberry that is).

Thanks

I have a Nextel 7520 with BBOS 4 (7520's shipped with 4.0) HelloWorld non-gps will install fine using manager. HelloWorldGps is missing files. My friend with a 7520 as well said he got the same error but for some reason he could bypass the error, whereas I cannot. I've tried it numerous times.

Hello Blackberry users,

I have a question to all Bell 7250 or 7130e users (non-BES). I'm trying to determine if HelloWorld will work on the Bell network. Bell is not listed as one of the supported carriers on the Connection Settings screen in HelloWorld. However you can enter Custom WAP settings but I'm not sure if anyone has been successful in doing this on the Bell network. There are instructions on how to extract the WAP settings from your Blackberry Service book on www.freek.ca

If anyone is successful in settings this up can they please let me know at [email address] I can give you a free copy of HelloWorld (20$ value) once i verify the settings.

Thanks!
