JL_Cmder does not wipe fully?

I just noticed that JL_Cmder does not wipe my onboard memory fully. I wipe and my pictures and music is still there... I don't understand... When I wipe, I do get the 507 No software error... :?

Are you sure they're not located on your memory card?

jsconyers 01-28-2010 04:41 PM

Yeah, they have to be on your media card. If you get the 507 error, how are you checking what's on your device?

When I reload the OS, I see whats on my device.

Here is a screen shot of my Music after JUST wiping with JL_CMDER and installing .464. I removed my media card prior to wiping.

I know what music is on my memory card, and what is on the device memory.

JL_CMDER is based on javaloader.exe which is made by RIM.

Javaloader 5.0 beta 3 has the following command for wipe:

Code:

  wipe [-a|-f]
    Wipes the handheld
      -a    Wipe applications only
      -f    Wipe filesystem only

The older version of javaloader, which JL_CMDER is based off may not have these options. It sounds like JL_CMDER is performing the following command:

Code:

javaloader wipe -a
Oh...and another thing...the Bold 9000 has an internal flash memory of 1gB that is separate from the RAM where the OS filesystem is located.

*So would the internal Wipe Handheld option act like the wipe -f switch in javaloader?

*The new Tour 2 (Essex) is claiming to have 2GB of internal memory. Is it safe to say that there is an internal flash memory for that vs. the RAM as well?

*Finally, where can one find Javaloader 5.0 beta 3? I tried to search for it with no success.

Thanks.
