Exclamation This app renders phone useless...

Please Login to Remove!

I downloaded the free version of Black track lite to evaluate it. After a few days, I decided it wasn't what I was looking for, so I deleted it. That's where the fit, hit the shan.

The software takes control of my phone and renders it useless. I've tried to delete it. Although it doesn't show up any longer in my apps list, after only one phone call it comes back and locks the phone. At that point, the only way to exit the program is to remove the battery. So one phone call per battery pull. This is not good.

I contacted support no answer. I placed a negative review on the software's page, 1 star it doesn't show up. Something is a little fishy about this one.

I need to PERMANENTLY delete this program, but I don't want to reset my phone for it.

Any advice?

Wirelessly posted

Did you delete it using the DM, or just through the phone? If I were you, I'd go through the DM. I'm no expert, if that doesn't work, you may have to do that reset.
Good Luck!

Try Kamau's advice.

Connect your device to your PC, Launch DM, and go into Application Loader. Do you see the app in the list? If you do, uncheck it and click next.

I've used this program but have never had this problem. The app was deleted with no strange things happening after-wards.

Default BlackTrack official Uninstall instructions

Dave here from BlackTrack Support.

Our standard (and automated) response for uninstall issues is listed below and it works very well. The DM option offered above usually works well too. Either way, the most common trouble is that users don't reboot (battery pull) after the uninstall. We have never had a user tell us they required a reset, so I really don't think you need to go to that extreme.

Again sorry for your trouble, and please let us know if you need any further support supportATblacktracklogDOTcom

To uninstall BlackTrack and stop your phone from sending you activity reports, please follow the instructions below.

Go to Options on your BlackBerry's main screen (the wrench icon)
Select Advanced Options
Select Applications
Select BlackTrack with the menu button and Select Delete.
Please be sure to reboot your BlackBerry if the system requests you to do so.

There is also a How To video demonstrating this procedure on our website.

NOTE 1: Depending on what you have tried to do to uninstall, the above procedure may not work. If that is the case, then the solution is to reinstall BT (to put everything back in its right place) and then follow the above procedure to remove it. This works every time.

NOTE 2: We value and protect your privacy. Your activity information is only on your phone and in your email. Aczen Innovations never has access to any of your logs or your phone, so your data is completely in your control. We do have your registration information, which means you may receive promotional email from us, but there is always an unsubscribe button at the bottom of those emails should you need to be removed from that list.

If you have any difficulties or questions, please let us know.

Cheers
