Just a quick note to save anyone the 3 day marathon I have just had!!

I have a new Blackberry 7290 on O2 (Uk provider - CPW billing) and have been trying in vain to set up some instant messaging software.

I have finally found out the O2 only supports Yahoo IM software.

IM+, Verichat and QuickIM all don't work.

BTW - Yahoo Messenger is available to download and works perfectly in seconds.

I assume this is because of a deal between O2 and Yahoo/BT.

please explain - only Yahoo doesn't work in 3rd party clients or all services aren't loading?
BTW Have you managed to connect with Regular IM+ version using our recommendations?
