I've noticed that over the past few months there have been a few posts from members asking how to retrieve information from backup files because they've had a problem with their BB.

Today whilst searching for something completely different I found an excellent little program called ABC Amber which does just's a tiny little piece of software (2mb) for your computer that allows you to open stored IPD files and read all of your emails, texts contacts etc, plus a lot more functions that i'm still playing with so if you do end up with a Brickberry on your hands at least you'll be able to read your backup files.

I've zipped it up and uploaded it to my online storage for anyone who would like it and you can grab it from ** link removed **
In order to get it to run on Windows 7 I had to install it in compatibilty mode for XP SP3 and run it as administrator so I suppose the same will apply for Vista users.
Please note:No Blackberrys were harmed in the making of this post.

ummm... no!

We don't allow pirated software links here. Don't replace the in your post. Doing so may get you banned from this site.

The legitimate download for ABC Amber is from their own site:

Additionally, ABC Amber IPD Converter has been discussed in this forum thousands of times previously.
