Default Pocketday's reply to isnt working on my 7100

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone else having issues with Pocketday's reply to feature?

With my 7520 I had it set up to enclude my Gmail, hotmail, and nextel 870 as 3 other options other than my default reply to email and it worked fine.

Now I type a message, and before I send it, I push in the thumb wheel, and select "reply to: Gmail" or hotmail and they still go to my original default reply to address.

I tried wiping away all my Pocket day reply too settings. Doing a radio reset, a hard power cycle, and then entering them in again. But nothing.
I tried deleting bbreply app, thought that was conflicting, still no fix.

Any suggestions?
Shane

Shane,

We'll look into this ASAP. We haven't had any reports of this and it's working on OS version 4.1 with the 8700.

I appreciate it, again I have a 7100. I have never gotten it to work on the 7100, but the 7520 it worked fine.

What I find confusing is in my test emails to myself, it shows from me, and a set "reply to" address, but its still the default one...
Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

I tried removing the app, and a reset, then reinstalling it, same thing.

Thanks for the time,
Shane

Shane,

When you select the reply-to address on the email menu, do you see the reply-to address show up at the top of the email that you are composing? If so, then it's probably because you don't have the reply-to address on the web client blacnk. This is a requirement.

Yes, Just before I am ready to SEND the email, I push in the thumb wheel, and go to Reply To: then selecet either Gmail, or Hotmail. And both of those I have indicated inside Pocketday's Reply to settings.

I am on a BES, but even before with the 7520, my default reply to address was set as something like [email address] and then if I ever wanted anything else, I would use Pocketday to determine which one I wanted the mail to come back to.

Webclient is not blank where it says default reply to address, it has the one that i'd like as default unless otherwise specified.

The webclient has to be blank or this won't work. If you leave the web client blank, the default will be your BB email address. This is the way it's always worked.

On a BES environment you have the option of sending the email two ways: from the BES server or from the web client. If you send via BES it will have the proper compnay email address. If you send from the web client it will have what you specify from pocketday as the reply to. When you reply to an email you can change the From by changing the address at the top of the email screen.

I am through a BES, so it doesnt matter what I put in the web client reply to address is that correct???

Anyway I deleted my email from the Web Clien setting reply to, and checked the settings inside Pocketday, and STILL after I set Reply to: Gmail,
the emails still have the DEFAULT reply to address.

hmm, any other suggestions, Shane

Could it be a settong on our end on the BES to not allow a different reply to address?

With my 7520 it worked fine, but I did have to do another Enterprise Activation to get the 7100 to work, but sense then, the reply to Pocketday hasnt worked.

When I send the emails from my blackberry it says
To:
Reply to: (thats where I select gmail)

But then IN the actual emails, there is no different Reply to. Its the default.

Any more suggestions, if it is a setting I am doing wrong inside Pocketday, something with Web Client, or something with the BES?

Thanks, Shane
