Weatherbug Maps and BB 8530
 
I have been using Weatherbug since I got my BB a couple of month ago. I had no problems until Desktop Manager updated all the software on my phone. Now the radar/map will not work. It just shows a large X on the screen. I have search all over the net today trying to find a solution but so far I have found nothing. Does anyone here have a suggestion?

I don't know of anything in particular. You should try a hard reset if you haven't done so. With the power on, remove the battery for 30 to 60 seconds. If that doesn't work, try removing the app and then reinstalling.

I assume by OP you mean the options for WB. I have all options set to "Allow" so it should have full permissions.

BTW, I am running BB OS 5.0.0.734 on a Curve 2 8530. App World says that I am running version X.149 but when I go into the about on the software it says version X.139 and when I run the check for upgrades it tells me that there are no upgrades.

FWIW, WB support e-mailed me and said to uninstall the software, pull the battery and go to a specific website and reinstall the software. I did that and still have the same problems.

Do everyone a favor and list what you've already tried when you ask your question. We don't know if you are knowledgeable enough to try or if you even know what a hard reset is. You state a problem and ask if anyone has ideas. Well, yeah, let's start with the basics, unless you've already done that. Like I say, save everybody's time and list what you've already done and any relevant info about changes right before the problem occurred.

At this point, if I were you and weather bug says there should be no conflict with your model or OS version, I'd backup the device first and then do a security wipe, choosing to delete third-party apps. Then install weather bug and see what happens. If it works, then do a restore from your backup and add your third-party apps one at a time, testing weather bug at each step.
That's me. See what others say.
