| Opera browser & 9650 touchpad problem - cant install v4 beta 2 Please Login to Remove! Sooo..I swapped my 9630 for a 9650 in anticipation of OS6 (probably jumped the gun by at least 6 months, but WTH). In the interim, however, I want a different browser. Opera mini 5 worked fine on my Tour, so I thought I'd install it on the 9650. Thing is, it isn't working due to the extreme sensitivity with the touchpad - lots of reports of this problem, and suggestions that people use Opera mini v4 beta 2 with their 9650s until the touchpad issue is fixed on v5.
So I downloaded the .alx & .cod files for v4 beta2, plugged the phone into desktop manager, clicked on "app loader", clicked on "add/remove", clicked on "browse", navigated to the beta 2 .alx file, clicked on it, and get "there is no additional software available for your device" or some shyt like that. Both the .alx and the .cod files are in the same folder. I'm running the latest version of desktop manager, and OS 5.0.0.732 on the 9650.
Any suggestions on what I might do differently to get the beta version installed? And please don't just suggest Bolt - I'm partial to and familiar with Opera and would like to get it working if at all possible. |
