Default Free Soft Reset App

Does anyone know of a decent free application to do a soft pull? I really don't want to pay for just simulating a battery pull.
I've already checked Blackberry App store, but the reviews on the ones there are not good, saying they don't work.

I can't see what you have ... But if you have a qwerty device, alt-cap-del will reboot the device. It may not be as good as a hard reset, but it fixes many glitches, and it's worth trying before doing a battery pull. But disregard if you don't use a qwerty BlackBerry.

I have an 8900. I also tried the shortcut you mentioned, but all it does is lock my password lock phone.

That's weird. You are sure you are pressing alt-cap-del? I just looked at the way I do it, and I press and hold the alt key, the more or less press and hold the caps key and then the del key. But even if you don't press them all at once, I can't see how you'd get what you're getting.

Sorry for the delay. I had a couple things to do after the phone reset. After reading your last post, I held the keys just a second longer, and it worked.
Thanks for the help.

Good deal. I don't see the point in an app to reset the device if you have a qwerty keyboard, but I gather some put their device on a timer to reset once a day or something like that. I hardly ever do a battery pull, but I do end up doing a soft reset once in a while.

Just FYI, on the 8539 Curve II, it's the right Caps key. The left caps key doesn't do it.

Yeah it is right-caps key. I just realized that's what I've always done and never thought about it.

I been beating on mine for 3 months, not even thinking about the right side key. No wonder it hadn't worked. I do have SoftReset installed. That key combination is a bit difficult for my fat fingers sometimes.
