| PocketDay Version 7 Beta (OS 6 only) Please Login to Remove! All,
Cross River Systems is pleased to announce that PocketDay version 7 (exclusively for OS 6) is available for open Beta testing.
Taking advantage of new BB OS 6 features and more, PocketDay continues to deliver advanced functionality on the BlackBerry. New features include: - New Title Bar now shows every notification the main BB home screen does
- New Toolbar at the bottom of the PocketDay Screen launches Profiles, New (Event, Task, Email, Text, etc.), Messages, BBM, Address Book, Browser, Camera and PD Favorites
- Clicking on the Title Bar shows a new System Status window with a new Toolbar (Device Lock, Manage Connections, BB Options, Search, PD Options)
- New Context Menus available for all PocketDay sections
- New Favorites Feature allows users to create Favorite Contacts, Apps and Web Links (web links can be added to PD from the BB Browser as well)
- Pressing the right side convenience key from within PocketDay opens the Favorites screen and cycles through the views (Contacts, Apps, Web links)…great for one handed quick access to functions
- Clicking on email now launches the BB message app directly for standard functionality
- Twitter and RSS News feeds now use the built in parsers for increased performance
The new PD beta for OS 6 is available for OTA download at: http://www.pocketday.com/files/v7/pdpos60.jad
We hope everyone likes the new update.

| Re: PocketDay Version 7 Beta (OS 6 only) I have had PocketDay Professional for years. It was one of the programs which did not automatically transfer over from Bold 9000 to Torch 9800 which I purchased at the end of September. I had backed it up with BBSAK, but wanted to download fresh from the ota site for my new hardware and operating system but it did not seem from visiting PocketDay's web site that the torch or os 6 were supported. I e-mailed PocketDay support and almost immediately had a response with a link to the beta product.
Beta product has worked as advertised without issue. Downloading official release version now.
Great Product. One that I use multiple times a day.
Unmatched customer support also.
If I ouly had one paid product for my Blackberry, this would be it. (No I do not have any connection with Cross River. Just a loyal customer). | | Offline

| Re: PocketDay Version 7 Beta (OS 6 only) My suggestions after using this for a few days: - I miss being able to click on the section headers and have it pull up the native application. For example, when I click on the Unread Email section, it used to bring up all of my emails. Now it works the same as the space bar (collapses/expands the section). Very annoying
- The icons at the bottom (e.g., for profiles, mail, Blackberry Messenger) should be able to be configured. For example, I use BeeJive instead of Blackberry Messenger so wish I could replace that app. I also continue to press the Profiles icon by accident everytime I go to make a call (i.e., press the phone button). So, it would also be great to just be able to turn them off.
- When you get a text message and the icon shows at the top of the screen, even if you delete the message in Pocketday, it continues to show the icon at the top of the screen.
Putting these suggestions aside, Pocketday is a great app and the support organization is second to none.

| Re: PocketDay Version 7 Beta (OS 6 only) I reported two issues with version 7.0.1.7 and wondered if anything had been fixed.
- When loading the program it freezes unless you hit the berry key and bring up the PD menu. Escape out of the menu and everything is OK.
- When checking for updates, it offers you version 6.1.0.3.
Even with these issues the OS 6 version is great!

| Re: PocketDay Version 7 Beta (OS 6 only) I agree with brilovett above. The only issue I have is not being able to directly open the native apps with the trackpad.
Two little things, where is the toolbar supposed to be? I don't see it at the bottom of the screen? Is there a setting I have to turn on? Also, is there a way to tweak the font size of date, time and wireless status? Mine is larger than the PD font, and it looks cramped. | | Offline

| Re: PocketDay Version 7 Beta (OS 6 only) Having used this for a bit now, I have some additional feedback: - After setting up apps as favorites, selecting some apps doesn't run them. For example, I put the Blackberry address book as one of my favorites. However, when I select it, nothing happens.
- Some icons in favorites are blank (e.g., memo pad).
- You can't move the favorite icons around the screen.
- When switching between Contacts, Apps, and Web Links in the favorites header, I never seem to be easily able to stop on Apps. It usually moves too quickly to Contacts or Web Links.
- I don't like at all that I can't click on a section header and go right to that application (like you used to be able to do).
- If you're on a MicroCell, it doesn't show it in the header.
- It might be because I have big fingers, but I am constantly pushing the wrong icons in the footer area (and, as I mentioned before, I don't like that all of them are there - e.g., BBM icon, which I don't use).
- When you have more favorites than the screen can accommodate, you don't realize it as there isn't any scroll bar. (I kept adding apps when I didn't see them showing up on the favorites screen, only to later realize that they were at the bottom and I just couldn't see them.)
Of course, still love the app. | | Offline

Bill J | Normally PocketDay customer service is very prompt.
In any event used the shortcut near the top of this thread and am now downloading a new version 7.0.1.9
Lets see how this works. I really don't have many issues with 7.0.1.7, though. | | Offline

| Re: PocketDay Version 7 Beta (OS 6 only) All,
Sorry for the late reply...password problems on the site. Anyway, we have posted 7.0.2.0 which now restores the click/menu/goto option for non touch screen devices as it was before.

-crs | Downloaded 7.0.1.9 yesterday. When I just now checked for updates, it says no updates available. At least it does not say that I should "update" to 6.1.0.3, which it did before 7.0.1.9.
I will download 7.0.2.0 just to have the latest version. | | Offline
