Thank you for that. I'm surprised Bolt's twitter page didn't make any mention of this latest upgrade. Their latest update is from Sept. 14. I'm glad to see Bolt constantly improving their product. The Twitter widget is better than I expected, but in terms of functionality, it is still very basic. The same is true for the Facebook one but I think it's a step forward. I do like the backing up of favorites on cloud. That's a very handy feature. |
Say Trimix, could you please explain the 'cloud' backup arrangement? I don't seem to understand how it works. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile |
It's basically backing up your favorites (bookmarks) on their server. That way if you have another phone with Bolt, you don't need to waste time setting up the same favorites again. Go to Preferences > Bolt Space to see the options for backup. Took me a while to find it. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile |
One of the issues that I always seem to get with Bolt (but not with Opera Mini) is trying to go to a site like Los Angeles Times - California, national and world news - latimes.com. If I enter that in the address box in Bolt it automatically takes me to the mobile version of the website, and I can't seem to switch to the non-mobile one. This wouldn't be that big of a deal except sometimes after I've searched for a specific article like Why I can't quit Facebook - latimes.com it continues to steer me to the mobile page instead of the article itself. Anybody experiencing a similar issue? I've contacted Bolt support and they say everything works fine on their end. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile |

Also, it won't let me register. Here's what I get... Re-enter Password * Incorrect email address or password. Please retry. I left them a post in their forums but no reply. :( Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile |

Try to enter a specific article or section in the paper and then revert to the home page and book mark |
I thought I read we can use Bolt as a default for links. I have not seen that option |
Okay. I did not need to login or register to do the backup. I selected Export to File. It seemed too quick to be backing up ALL the bookmarks. I went into my files and actually found it. Then I deleted one of my bookmarks to see if it would work. I selected Import from File and sure enough, the bookmark had indeed returned! I am amazed and happy:). It was always my biggest gripe to have to reload each and every bookmark. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile |
