Google Maps 4.5.2 crashing
 

I'm experiencing repeated crashes with Google Maps 4.5.2 - does anyone know a cure for this, for example a way to download 4.4 and reinstall that again? Thanks

You should uninstall the G-Map and reboot the BB and then install the Maps again. some times upgrade could cause issues.

I have problems on my 9650. When I go to traffic, I get a big block of color making the map unusable in some areas.

Did you try to upload it thru Desktop manager if you have the old backup of app? I do keep the backup of all my apps from device so some times its east to install all apps in one go instead of loading one app at a time from their sites.

We are experiencing repeated crashes on google maps 4.5.2 on two different blackberries. Clearly there is a problem with the new version.

Doing some reading on the internet including Googles support site, it shows a lot of people are experiencing issues of some type or another with the app. One suggestion seems to work is an upgrade to OS6 if available for the particular BB model. Be careful if you go this route and only upgrade to OS6 if it is for your BB model. There are other issues with OS 6 that you may want to consider before doing an upgrade. Blackberry Maps is a good app although it does not show traffic. I found it much faster to display and render a new map than Google and TeleNav. I now only use BB maps.
