I am new to BB and I am looking for some good apps. to down load. I curently have google local, what else and where can I get that's usefull cheap or free?

What are you interested in? What do you want to use your Blackberry for that you currently can't?

The majority of vendors offer their apps via .zip or OTA just pick your poison and make your way to their site. Some of the usual suspects are:

IM+
VeriChat
Ramble IM
eMSNLite
Berry411
BBLight
BBMessenger
BBToday
BBReply
BBCorrector
Magmic

All can be searched via the site or Google for that matter, also check the sponsors forums for further app vendors.
