Default Verichat question on Emoticons and PDM's, and alerts - 02-06-2006, 11:32 AM

Is there any known shortcut to call up the Emoticons and Pre Defined Messages without using the trackwheel?

Also, can you create any sort of audible notification? Found an old post:

That's not a bug. I made an inquiry to PDAapps, and they replied:1. If the application is running in the background, it uses the VeriChat-Background profile

2. If the application is running, and you are in the buddy list view, it uses VeriChat-Foreground profile.

3. If you are actively chatting with person "X", then notifications from that person use VeriChat-Active Chat profile whereas notifications from other people use VeriChat-Foreground profile. This has been done deliberately so that you can distinguish if you are getting an IM from someone else. Many people keep their "Active Chat" profile silent where they still want to be notified of messages sent by someone else.

Any other tips for use that people want to share?

Do custom status messages works as well. Don't appear to on Yahoo, but not sure if it's Yahoo or the Verichat client.

Ok I had to scroll down to the choices to see it in the list. So now all I need are my beloved shortcuts to emoticons. Why do they only show some of them?

Any shortcuts to Emoticons and PDM's?

Any way to keep a history of a chat?

The shortcut I know of is Alt+Enter to switch between active conversations. (A multitask hotkey that all chat software should have)

Other than that, I don't have any extra info. I believe you can use AutoText as an alternative way to do PDM's, to avoid the trackwheel.

Thanks,
