Question Shark Modem Install.. - 02-06-2006, 03:15 PM

Ok, maybe I just don't get it but... How do I use this software? I downloaded it and installed it on my laptop and my BB, but now what? I never show any connections. I am using ExchangeMyMail.com for BES Hosting. Is thiere something I'm missing?

Confused,
Kim

I'm with you. The program made no sense. I just uninstalled the program and moved on . . . life's too short to put up with crap like that. Give people proper instuctions . . or begone!

It's pretty easy .... download and install the part for your pc, install the BB portion ... connect the BB, start sharkmodem on both ... make sure you have the proxy set correctly in your browser (3128 is the default).

Ok, I figured it out. I didn't have the proxy set correctly. It works, and it's great! The connection is much faster than I expected.
Thanks for a great app, Shark Team!

Anyone else here having problems accessing Yahoo Mail, Gmail? I'm using a BES account. Also, I noticed recently as I surf, my BB will go from EDGE to edge, causing the software to become unstable and freeze my BB.

Well, I looked over the manual. Nothing to address my problem. And the Shark Modem support hasn't answered my last email... Not sure what to do.
