Thumbs up NewsClip Now includes package tracking - 02-07-2006, 07:21 AM

I use the great RSS Feed software called "Newsclip" on my Blackberry. When I checked Newsclip this morning, there was a message from the developer, Virtual Reach, that a new version had been released, and was ready for download. I downloaded and installed that new version using an OTA download link in that message.

The new version is even better than the prior version. This new version includes a routine to track packages. I am waiting for a Fedex package from Verizon that contains my new 7130e. So, I put in the tracking number for that shipment, and sure enough, I got the complete tracking info for that package as an RSS feed in Newsclip. (I didn't even have to tell it which carrier it applied to. It knew it was a Fedex package.)

For anyone who wants news feeds on their Blackberry, I highly recommend Newclip from Virtual Reach.

You can read the press release announcing the package tracking at Virtual Reach Introduces Mobile Tracking For Courier Parcels Within Newsclip and see more info regarding the Newsclip program at Virtual Reach website.

And, no, I don't work for Virtual Reach. I'm just a very happy customer of their's.

I am in the process of reviewing it for my Tips site. A very good app with good things to come. I will be comparing it to FreeNews which is $20 per year.
