I have the latest version on my 8700 and it often disconnects but the app still shows me online. I know this because I have my other screename signed on my desktop. I have to exit and restart it to sign on again.

Verichat was never all that stable for me before but recently upgraded to OS 4.1 and now it keeps me on till I sign off. I keep myself 'away' for the most part and it keeps me as such now. I've been using different IM applications and each seems to vary and it has been different with each upgrade. I have no reason to explain the difference but suggest you try out other IM applications to find out what works best for your handheld. When I was using OS 4.0...Yak-on worked best but now with 4.1 its verichat. I'd say to try out the different options ultimately and go w/what works best for you.

Do you use BES or not? What carrier do you use?

I use BIS and Verichat has been rock solid for two months (as long as I've had my 8700). I use Verichat daily.

I am wondering if using BES throws more variables into the equation. IE if there are any hicups in the corporate network this may cause problems with Verichat. I wish you could choose to use TCP instead of BES in the application.
