Default BBWeather Problems + Tmo

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all.. I've downloaded BBWeather and I can't seem to get it to work. I've searched through the forums, disabled the proxy, added wap.voicestream.com for my APN and all I get is: "Unable to open connection." Any ideas?

Tried resetting the device? For different networked apps that I've installed, they always seem to work after I reset my device.

Have you disabled the MDS under options inside weather, just put a checkmark on the box to disable it.

Yep. I disabled that proxy after finding it while searching the forums. I'm able to browse the web, check email, just no 3rd party apps.

Are you on BES, if you are then it is more than likely that your company has an IT Policy in place to prevent you from doing so.IF this is your own personal BB what I would do is take it out of the BES, have them remove all the policies before you did. You can always have your email forwarded to gmail and then forward from there to the BB or have them forwarded directly to the BB. You will loose the wireless synching you now have though. You could synch using an USB cable to your desktop. THere are some pluses and negatives with BES as you see. You could always subscribe to a third party BES plan if you dont mind the additional expense. Of course if this is a company BB you are SOL and just have to play by their rules and policies in place.
