Hi
I'm looking for an application for the BlackBerry. I want to be able to create an new email on my Laptop and send it over USB to my BlackBerry Handheld (7290 v. 4.0) . It should be as if I had created the email directly on my Handheld. Idea behind. I can type a large email on my Laptop insteed on the small keyboard of my BlackBerry.
Do you know if such a application or such a solution exists? Perhaps it could be an application to remotecontrol the Handheld?

This is an interesting idea but a bit backwards.

Why not get your Blackberry working as a modem and then use the full PIM/email client to send the message? That would solve your problem. Similarly, you could buy a Bluetooth keyboard, but BEWARE you must buy a keyboard that is compatible with the Blackberry. They must specifically state blackberry support or it won't work.

Thanks for your input. I thougth it would also be good to have a remote access tool for the Handheld to be able to make some remote support. But it seams that such an application doesn't exist yet.

Sorry, but that remote control is working the wrong direction. There are a number of application available that allow a BlackBerry to remote control a computer, but none that allow a computer to remote control a BlackBerry.

they do have a remote control to lock the device, but other than that theres nothing

I think this is working in the right direction its the client who is working in the wrong direction.

Yep. I recommend BlackBerry Enterprise Server if you need some limited "remote administration" of a BlackBerry.

Alternatively, try an External Bluetooth Keyboard for BlackBerry
if all you need is to type emails on a BIG keyboard:



Option #1: The above keyboard gives you a bigger keyboard for your BlackBerry. This would not be called "Remote Control" but it would solve your problem about needing a big keyboard for typing emails.

Option #2: Alternatively, if you have to use the laptop, type the email and email it to your BlackBerry's email address while the BlackBerry is tethered as a modem for your laptop (or just use any WiFi hotspot). From there, you now have a copy of the email on the BlackBerry.

My money is for the PC to BB RC software. Way to many clueless BB users...If anyone knows when this is comming out pls post it!!!
