Unfortunately there are no themes available for any blackberry. The feature isnt supported yet. (It will however be supported in OS 4.0)

You are wrong. Themes are supported since firmware version 3.7.1. Vodafone uses the themes to give their Blackberry 7230 and 7730 the red design. And if you install the default theme (or Vodafone theme) from 72xx to 77xx you will get a new entry "Theme" under Options. Using a 72xx theme on a 77xx will also give you small icons on the display. This results in six icons instead of five icons per row on the main screen of your Blackberry. This should also work vice versa.

I have seen BBs with a bunch of themes like nature, metal, ice. These were just different colour schemes. A while back I saw a wicked theme that worked on a sphere ribbon concept that was totally different.

I know there are two already provided with the 4.0 OS at least on my 7780 there are, options --> themes. The standard "Big Icons" and a secondary one which provides "Small Icons" like the 72xx series. Where you download more I still have no idea...

I don't think they are publicly available, I only saw them on RIM employee devices. Brings up an interesting point for development, is there a market out there for blackberry Themes? It would be totally doable from a development point of view.

I think there is definitely a market for themes -- especially if they are not expensive. I bet that if you packaged 10 nice themes in a bundle, you could sell a whole lot of them at $4.99 on Handango...

Crap, I stand corrected.. I did however mean aftermarket themes.. IE different from software provider themes.

I have 3.7.1 from Tmobile, but no themes option. 3.7.1.4 (platform 1.6.41) to be exact. Any idea why the option isn't there?

Unfortunatly until 4.0 is officially released, I doubt we'll see any themes floating around for download. Although it would be damn nice to get some, it's one thing I've been hunting for myself. Oh well

Maybe I can get the vodafone theme to play around with. Wonder if there is a way to extract it off of the device.

Under 3.7.1, you only see the theme option when you have more than one theme to select from, thats been altered in 4.0 though.

Download the vodafone software, it will be no different from the software you have there beyond a minor version number in all liklihood, although it will have more than one language option so you shouldn't get scared if you see that.

As far as download location, have a look on the rimroad board as istr they have a sticky post with links to all hh software.

Cool, thanks. Guess the vodafone software wont mess anything up with tmobile. Would be cool to have a new theme, the old one is good, but boring. Even if the vodafone one is ugly it would be a good change.
