Has anyone tried the Mobile Voice Control application? I see on their website that it is now available for the 8700. If you have tried it could you please post your reviews? Thanks

I have not tried it but from what I have heard, there is a monthly subscription cost to it, and you have to upload your contacts data to their server, and finally it is suppossed to be a battery hog.

Default Voice Control

I downloaded the trial version of Voice Control and could never get it to work so I deleted it from my BB 8700c. Because part of the instruction to get voice control to work you had to assign your side convenience key to "nothing", which I did. I used to have addresses assigned to the side key. After removing Voice Control I note that there is no opportunity for me to add "addresses" to the side key. Addresses are missing from the choices. I can assign any other key, but not addresses. Is there a way to get the "addresses" back to the side convenience key option?

Tried it, liked it, bought it. Worked fine for a few months then after an update, never worked properly again. Just deleted it yesterday.

I am on my phone constantly and when it worked it was amazing.

Wow.

I'm interested in hearing more about this product.

Anyone else use it on a 8700 yet?

Installed it on my 7130. Tried it for 15 minutes. I just deleted it.

Had to reboot five times. It takes too long to work when it does work. One problem, if a contact has multiple numbers, you have to select which one to dial. What's the point of voice control if you have to manually select a number?

I used it for a couple of months but ditched it cause it wasn't cost effective for my usage.

Wirelessly posted (7130e VZW: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry7130e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I used it on my 7100i a few months back. Worked well, but it hosed the battery. Haven't tried the new version on my 7130e. I'm not a big fan of uploading all of my contacts to their server.
