The licenses on the apps are non transferable to others. The developer of the app may allow you to transfer it to another BB device that you own, but not to someone else's device. Hencen the reason for the trial period for testing to see if you want to purchase the license or not. Some apps, such as Verichat for example, will allow you to transfer the remainder of your yearly subscription fee to another BB device that you own or have upgraded to and you'll be given a credit toward the purchase of another Verichat license.

I just wanted to say that if your goal is to use MSN on your Blackberry, I recommend Yak-On.
http://www.yak-on.com/download/
it has a ton of really good features. (profile settings, ping time settings, alerts...) I also like how a one-time fee makes it work forever. After testing for a few days, i give it a big thumbs up.

With 3rd party apps you can use msn messenger from your computer. There's also an app called eMSN which is free that may be listed on one of the threads on this forum or you can google it. Not sure how well it works because I haven't tried it. That's an option for you.

with yak-on, you can talk to ppl on your BB when they are on their PC. in real time. i have tested it. it works great. you can also run it 24x7 in the backround so it appears to other users that you are always on line. when you are away from your BB, the messages just go into a 'tab' queue and wait for you to repond to them or ignore them. you can 4 conersations going on at the same time.

What IM program lets me sign in using multiple AOL accounts at the same time. I searched and couldn't come up with an answer.

is AIM down? I haven't been able to sign on AIM from my phone in like a week. It just sits at either 20% or 80% and says communication failure. I have EDGE and 5 bars of service....

something tells me AOL would have figured it out by now if there was a significant service outage.

Is there a chat program that moves my recently active buddies to the top. For example if I am chatting with someone on yahoo and aol im at the same time and I don't want to scroll up and down my list to keep talking....i'd rather have them grouped at the top.

Intsant Messaging should have come pre-installed on your BB. If not, open the T-Zones in your browser and click on the IM link.

Once downloaded OTA, you should see MSN, Yahoo, AOL, and ICQ inside the "IM" icon on the desktop.

the tmobile stock AIM client used to only be able to handle like 30 buddies at a time, is that still the case? and if so what AIM client are you guys using, 30 buddies just isn't enough :(

Keep in mind that the IM that you get from T-mobile uses SMS (text messaging) so you will get charge for sending and receiving messages.

Secrecyguy, I have unlimited texts so I'm not worried about that. The OZ client doesn't stay signed in and you have to refresh it. Otherwise, you'll find that when you try to senda message to someone on your budd list that they may be signed off. At least, that's what I've found. Verichat and yak on seem to work best as I've found. They use data for those who don't have unlimited texts.

I used the Ramble for my 7250, works great, kicks me off rarely, I have U.S. Cellular, use it for personal use and for my small business.

FATZBERRY I got that same message until I unchecked the Force MDS connection box. This may help.

When starting VeriChat I get the error "Could not find a service book entry for IPPP".

Your device is not configured correctly for Internet access. If you are using a Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES), make sure that Mobile Data Service (MDS) has been enabled by your BES administrator for your account. After your BES adimistrator has enabled MDS for your account, you will need to sync your device with your PC to get the IPPP Service Book installed on your device. You can find out if you have this service book installed by going to Options->Service Books and looking for an entry called "Desktop [IPPP]" or something similar. This is not the same as the "IPPP for BIBS" entry.

If you get this error and do not have or intend to connect via a corporate BES server, you probably are checking the "Force MDS" option in VeriChat. Please try again without the "Force MDS" option checked.
