Default A great Blackberry program... [Pocket Express For BB]

Please Login to Remove!

It looks like Pocket Express is about to be released. I have downloaded the trial version and its great. Here are my pros and cons.

Pros:
1. Speed. This is much faster than a wireless browser.
2. Content. News, Weather, Sports, Maps, etc.
3. Size. Only 10% the size of similar wireless content.

Cons:
1. I cannot customize the sources. For example, all of the news sources appear to be Reuters.
2. Price. $6.99/month or 69.99/year

Here is the link to try it for yourself:

Looks interesting but I cannot get it to connect on my 7290 using Cingular. The WAP settings look correct but connection fails every time.

I am very impressed. It works just fine on T-mobile.

This might be an app I signup for.

They should market it better!
Their marketing is a little poor -- no BlackBerry screenshots?

Give it a little more time. The program just came out officially for RIM earlier this week.
There are a few screen shots available if you indicate your current device on their "Home" page.

Default Cingular WAP setting for Pocket Express

For Cingular try this WAP Setting for Pocket Express:

WapGatewayIP=66.209.11.61;WapGatewayPort=9203;WapG atewayAPN=blackberry.net;WTLS=enabled;

An updated version of Pocket Express is supposed to be out in a couple of weeks

Trying to set up trial on bb after downloading. No matter what email address I enter I get an "invalid email format" error that will not let me proceed. Any insights? Thanks.

Default Great program

IMHO, Express is a great program - very fast at getting information one would want when they want it.

I do not mind paying the price as much as I use it aleady.

As to the email issues - enter your email and create a password . . . then select the box to create new account. That should work.

I had an issue with updates at first . . . with the trial I downloaded from handango.com. I removed it and put on the trial straight from the vendor and all was well.

This app is very useful. I don't even bother going to my t-zones homepage. I might get the $69.99/yr subscription as I've been using the trial period for a while. I give this app a

I agree with everyone else also. This program is highly useful and well worth the money. I use the directions and weather conditions mostly. Everything is quick and seems upto date too. The weather radar images you can get are great, I just wish you could soom in or out of them.

manualmaxima --

Handmark Express provides rapid access to information such as weather, sports, news, movie listings, maps, directions, etc. Basically something that's much faster than the BlackBerry browser to access commonly glanceable information.

Handmark is actually one of the BlackBerryForums sponsors as of this time.

This is a great program.. However, would be nicer if you can make a call from PocketExpress by highlighting a phone number from the 411 search. This will be uselful if your are driving. A one or two click operation.
