Default Looking for beta-testers

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

My company (ClockLabs Ltd) is getting started on the BlackBerry platform. Currently, we are trying to make sure that our midlets run fine on BlackBerries, so we are looking for beta-testers.

Our main product is called PocketMetro 2.1. PocketMetro 2.1 is the only travel guide for public transportation networks that run on any mobile device compatible with Java. With an integrated description of each public transportation network, it can compute the shortest travel between two tube or light rail stations, instantaneously. It gives the user a complete roadmap between the start station and the end station, including the line changes. PocketMetro 2.1 also takes into account the current day and time, so it can avoid closed stations and take the express lines.

For now, PocketMetro 2.1 is available for New York, London, Paris and Berlin. Please check the product page for more information.

You can download a test version of PocketMetro 2.1 directly to your BB from our "testing" Wap site at http://waptest.clocklabs.com. Each version of the application is packaged in a .cod file so everyone should be able to install it. This version is limited to five starts. Drop me an email at [email address] and I will send you a registration code.

Best Regards,
David

Let me know when you add Boston or DC to the list and I will test. Unfortunately I don't travel to any of those cities

Hi,

Those cities are on the "short list" for our next cycle of developement, but I can't commit to a firm date

This leads me to a question: is it ok for me to post a message here each time we add a new city to our lineup (not very often)?

Best Regards,
David

BlackBerryForums welcomes requests for beta testers! More software, the merrier! Just make sure you follow the rules!

When you announce a new version of a beta, just reply to this thread.

Note1: It is usually a general courtesy to simply bump up the existing thread (such as this one) by replying to this thread rather than creating a new thread. It should not be done excessively (i.e. for the sake of keeping the thread at the top). However, if a long time has passed (i.e. 1 month), you`ve got a major version upgrade (i.e. 1.0 jumping to 2.0), and the old thread is hopelessly outdated and long forgotten, then a new thread is just fine. Announcements should generally only be for free stuff, not paid stuff, to keep the sponsors happy, the people who pay for the operation of this site.

Note2: The other consideration is that no prices and commercial advertising is allowed - You must buy a sponsorship for that (ad banner), and for that, you have to contact Guess. Signature lines generally should not contain links to pages that sell stuff. As a result, you might want to remove your web address in your signature. However, other hyperlinks for the purpose of beta testing is usually okay on an announcement basis as long as it`s solely for beta testing purposes only... Violations are usually considered on a case-by-case basis, and at the moment, there is no violations except for the gray area of a web address in the Signature line in your Profile.
