I figure someone may find this useful, so...

Here is a very very simple utility I wrote about a year ago that displays info about the cell tower you are using and a few things about your device.
It wasn't really intended for distribution so YMMV.
It has been tested only on a 7290 and only on OS versions 3.8, 4.0 and 4.1
but should work on other devices/versions.

Oh and it is for GSM devices only and needs to be installed from the desktop...

And of course, it comes with no warranty whatsoever and may not even work at all and may even erase all of your data or snap your Blackberry in half (unlikely)... use at your own risk.
