Default Problems with Magmic?

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone else had this problem?

I tried downloading the free games from mobile.blackberry.com and I got an error. The dowload progress bar appears for about a tenth of a second, and then I get error 907 invalid JAR.

So I tried going directly to the magmic site, and I get the same problem with any of their programs. Just to be sure it wasn't my blackberry, I also went to midlet.org and I could download from there.

Is it just me? Am I going loco?

This error message is often either carrier-dependant and BlackBerryOS-dependant. Usually more carrier-dependant especially if you are not using BES, more BlackBerryOS dependant if you are using BES.

Which carrier and BlackBerryOS are you using?

I have the dreaded 7750 on the Telus network with the MyBlueberry MDS service. I have OS 4.0 of course :D

Weird though, I never had any problems with Magmic in the past...

I had the same problem when trying to do an OTA download of Medieval Kings when ver 1.1 was released. I tried again this morning and it works now, did you fix something?

I also get this error (907 invalid JAR) when trying to download the free Magmic games from RIM (http://mobile.blackberry.com/). Is there anything I can do to fix that or is it a problem with the site?

Thanks,

Lloyd

I have had no luck in 5-6 attempts to download the freebies over the past week or so.

The Magmic site works fine now, thanks.

unfortunately it still happens on mobile.blackberry.com as of 8pm 8 February 2005. I guess whatever magmic did, blackberry will also have to do.

Thanks to magmic for fixing the problem so promptly!

I am trying to send codes to myself via the magmic commons site. I still have not receive any emails for the codes after clicking the button. Is anyone else facing the same problem? I have double check my pin and email and they are both correct.

The mobile.blackberry.com site is allowing me to download the free games now that I have upgraded with the latest AT&T handheld firmware (released earlier this week). Wish I could say why it works now, but at least it does.
