This would be neat. I know via BES AP you can remotely wipe a BB. So it is making some sort of remote connection. I wonder if it is possible to remotely access it and use it via RDP type of connection.

If I am not mistaken, that controls your PC from you BB, not the other way around.

Anyone know how to load files generated/backed up from your real 8700 to use them in the 8700 version of the simulator?

I have not heard of this being possible. Would be interesting if it was.

I haven't tried it in that direction, but I often load backups from the simulator onto my real 7100g, and I see no reason you couldn't go from real to simulator. It simulates a USB connection and Desktop picks it up fine, so no problem there. Give it a try.
