Default verichat problem - 04-03-2006, 04:45 PM

I have had verichat since last year and it used to work fine, now when I start the program it states "could not open - failed" I am a private user, I do not have BES. I have checked the FAQ section and have tried both sets of cingular passwords. I have a licensed copy of verichat version 2.59b and my BB OS is version 4.0. This is a 7290 on cingular. any ideas?

2.66b is the latest version. Try downloading that and see if that works for you.

Unhappy Similar problem - 04-03-2006, 06:41 PM

I posted on this two days ago.

I use TMO, i have a 8700c with 4.1. I am using verichat 2.66b now. Cannot connect to the IM servers.

I get:

Connection refused: connect

It's as if the attempt to connect is being blocked.

I have BES.

I get connection timed out using the 8700c, Verichat 2.66b and BES. I have the right TCP setup for Cingular Orange. Any solutions?

If you are on BES, please confirm that MDS is enabled. If it's not that could be the issue.

Verichat allows you to log onto AIM, Yahoo, MSN and ICQ all at the same time. It's just like Yahoo.

Your PIN is listed in Options, Status, and is listed right above the IMEI number. It's pre-assigned to each BlackBerry. You have to invite people to join BlackBerry Messenger by sending them a PIN or email request using their PIN number. You can also invite more than one other person into a multi-user chat.
