Default The Beginnings of a Language Translation Tool

Please Login to Remove!

I don't know if anyone has any use for this, especially in it's current infant form...but here's a very rough test version of a translator that I started working on. It makes an http post connection to google to do it's translation (this means it will use bytes from your data plan if you are not on an unlimited plan). At the moment, it only works in it's own screen but the plan is to add a translate menu item to emails, etc. There are no settings that can be saved (I'm thinking default language pair and MDS prefs, at the very least, should be made saveable). When (and if) it gets further along, it will be released with full source code.

To use...if you are on a BES, you may need to check "Use MDS," otherwise it should probably be unchecked. Choose a language pair, either by pressing the ALT key or using the menu, then type some text into the first empty box right below the languages, then select "Translate" from the menu.

Comments, suggestions, hate mail, whatever...is welcome. And be warned, this is very rough and only for the adventurous.

Check out the translator in IM+ now to compare. Does it do the same?
