So far, you need to upload the specific jpg file to a webpage to view or save to the BB picture gallery.

You can't just click on an attachment inside an e-mail.

Sucks, I know.

If your using BES you can see it as an attachment... but if your a BWC user it's the web as Steve said.

Check with your ISP to see if a personal web page is included in your account. Otherwise, if someone else wanted to share pictures with you, they do the same.

If all else fails and you just want to transfer a picture from your computer to your Blackberry, try this: http://www.comfx.com/g.php

This is how I retrieved my personalized background.

thanks guys, wasn't holding out too much hope that a jpg viewer would be available. sounds like pretty tedious work to have to upload a jpg to a site, and then view it....

Yes, I can now view attachments, even with non-BES. Works well using Nextel 7520.

I'm still having trouble viewing JPG attachments.

I've got 4.0 up and going with no problems. WHen i go to open attachemnt it tells me it is "retrieving more" and then does nothing.... i click on retrieve again and it ask me if i want to resent my request... no matter how i respond the image never loads.

any ideas?

OK, I'm sorry. I don't get it. I'm on web client and on Nextel with a 7520, but I can't view jpegs.

Is there a setting I am missing?

I am on TMo and just noticed that I have the paperclip for viewing attachments for an email that contains a .jpg. I clicked on open attachment then on full contents like I would any other email attachment but nothing happens then.

Am I doing something wrong? The email that was sent to me was on 25k and shouldn't take that long to open.

Any help would be great.
Thanks

My 7230 kept timing out when trying to retrieve attachments. I don't know which of these fixed my problem as I did them all right after each other:

- Under Options->Host Routing Table, I clicked the wheel and chose Register Now
- Logged in to the BWC site and re-sent both service books

These may or not may apply to those of you who are still having problems after upgrading to OS 4.0 but there they are.

FYI I am already upgraded to OS4.0
Thanks ahead of time.

Default Saving Pictures

I can receive and view jpg on my 7290 very quickly. There is one picture I would like to keep on my BB. When I save, it says it is saving to /home/user/pictures.
Okay how do I find this and view it on my BB.
