i found this
Cellular Plan: TMO BB unlimited enterprise
Options -> Ramble IM -> Network Connection: Device default
Options -> Ramble IM -> TOC Host & Port: toc.oscar.aol.com:80
TCP Configured (Yes/No): yes
APN: wap.voicestream.com
Username: phone number (or blank)
Password: T-mobile website password (or blank)
however it doesnt give me the option to enter an APN or anything. is my BB messed up? something was wrong with my other one so I had to exchange it but now it doesnt work (i.e. Ramble)

Ok I think that I got it to work. Apparently the APN was under TCP under options....
now that I have this, can someone confirm that I wont get 8 million charges for text messaging by using this program ? i had called tmobile for help and they seemed put off since it was a third party software.

You shouldt get charged. If so, I should be very easy to remove. If you have an unlimited data package, it should cover all data

yep i do have unlimited data. i just got worried when tmobile was like, why are you trying to change the apn settings? :( I do have unlimited data - just making sure that ramble counts as data and NOT as messaging.

The one thing about ramble is you've got to make sure your using the right Proxy (????) i had the default one and was constantly getting kicked off, I made a change that I saw listed here on the forums and bam suddenly no more random kick offs atleast not yet!

I have this "Invalid Connection String" problem too. I have tmobile, a 7105t BB. I followed all the settings on this thread and they are all correct, the TCP, the APN, everything. I still can't get into Ramble. I am running 4.1, but I couldn't get into Ramble when I was running 4.0 either.
I can also not Instant Message via the Oz built-in client. I have not been able to IM since I got the phone two weeks ago. When I try the built-in IM client, it says: "Communication error: Please try again or check your settings." Which is really wierd because it said it was successful in opening the SMS portal.
(I understand that the built-in client uses SMS and not data, which is why I would prefer to use Ramble.)
Any help with Ramble would be greatly appreciated. My bf who works for tmobile told me that BBs have a problem with Instant Messaging and are regularly returned because of it. He says that maybe the one I have just doesn't do it. (Which I think is BS.) How can you sell a product if you know a certain percentage are defective on an application? Anyways, I digress. Any help would be appreciated. THANK YOU!

I posted this question 3 weeks ago but nobody answered me...
Whenever I signed onto Ramble, & then off, I would stay logged in. I'd be logged in for days, but according to my BB, I was logged out... Meanwhile missing a ton of messages.
So... today I updated the program, & made sure I replaced the previous version. After I had done that, Ramble IM had disappeared completely from my Applications tab, even after reboot. So, I tried to d/l it again. Then, there was 2 Ramble IMs showing up in my Apps tab. So, I went to Options, Applications, & deleted Ramble. This did delete one of them, but the other remains. I can't delete it, & the prog doesn't work anyway.
WTF do I do? :(

Go to options, advanced options, apllications, click on the wheel select modules, go down the list to find ramble, highlight it click on the wheel, and then delete it. After you back out to main screen, reset either by ctrol alt delete, or take the battery out, that should do it.
