I know it's cheesy to answer your own post, but...the way to get it to work is to follow the Pearl instructions for activating BBWeather. I found it via a search.

Default Can someone add Jivetalk to this list? - 05-29-2007, 07:22 PM

This has to be 1 of the best programs I have ever used on the BB. It is the best IM program for any wireless device period.

I agree. Idokorro Mobile SSH is a *really* polished app, but $95 for a license kills the deal. I'll 'suffer' with a less-polished feature set with MidpSSH rather than shell out $95. Glad there's a free alternative!

I own 8700g and use Ramble for AIM. When I put my handheld in holester or it shuts down in sleep mode, so goes Ramble. it disconnects the AIM. I didn;t have that problem with the old 7290. Any ideas?

Default Yahoo! Go....I am IMPRESSED - 07-03-2007, 07:12 PM

Yahoo! Go for the BlackBerry 8800 just became available yesterday. I installed it this morning via an over the air download. It is AMAZING. The user interface is fantastic, and it links seamlessly to my preset headlines/weather/stocks/flickr photos etc. on Yahoo! It also has a very easy to use maps and directions "widget" (that is what they call each of the various sub-programs) that kicks the pants off of the Google mobile maps application I was using previously. Unlike the Google app, the Yahoo one loads very quickly and does not take forever to refresh views. and it has a very nice way to select your zoom level. Every one of the "widgets" is content rich and has a great submenu that is context sensitive, so it gives you options for quickly and easily dealing with the content of whatever "widget" you are using at the time. If you haven;t checked out Yahoo! Go, you should. It is extremely impressive, and on top of that, it is FREE ;)

Default Video on BlackBerry - 07-12-2007, 06:24 AM

Hi everyone!
I've just found very useful software for converting video for my Curve: Mobiola Studio for Blackberry (Video Converter and File Manager) by Warelex LLC
It works perfectly and very simple and must work with other phones (Pearl, 8800, 8830). I tried some converters before, but I hate when it forces me to choose codec, fps, format, screen etc, etc… But Mobiola does not!!!
And drag-n-drop functionality is amazing! It converts YouTube, DVD, any other video.
Hope my post will be useful for you!

Just tried the Mobiola trial on my Curve with Youtube and it's a complete DUD. It "converts the Youtube" video into a 0kb file on my storage card in 3gp file.

Media Player promptly tells me that it's an "unsupported file format."

Edited to read: The problem seems to be the quality setting. Used on "medium" quality, the videos convert just fine. Used on high quality, the program downloads but never converts the file.

i just downloaded Google Map, but it freezes every time when the loader bar goes to "4". When i first installed this, the installation was successful but it said memory was inadequate. If I had no memory on my blackberry in the first place, why did the map install? And how can i fix this freezing problem?

If you installed as a package, try re-installing it as a stand-alone.

does anyone know of an app that can let me know where a call is coming from if i dont have the number saved?

my old super cheap phone had this feature and i'd love to have it again,

essentially, whenever a number not saved in my phone book came up, it would tell me the state the call was from, on the screen, i know i can google the information after the call but its really useful when getting rando calls...

anyone?

Default MasterDoc - 08-30-2007, 07:16 PM

Okay I looked all over their website Dynoplex telling me how great the product is and downloaded the trial version. I did not recieve a key to activate it and it does nothing apparently without one.

Nowhere could I find anything about a monthly or annual subscription on the SELLING page. Does anyone know if there is a subscription?

It also will not let you load this application without loading Efile and I dont believe it mentions anythng about that in the ad at Dynoplex.

Now I am wondering if MasterDoc is a stand alone application or part of something else you must purchase and load first. Any help would be appreciated from someone running this Dynoplex product.
