Default Want a Wiki - 04-12-2006, 12:08 AM

I'm slowly managing my migration from a Palm to a Blackberry, and overall have been pleased with my 8700c. The one area where I am still in serious pain is the memopad. With no global search on the BB, it's hard to find something when you have hundreds of memos. My ideal solution would be to replace the entire memo application with a wiki. Has anyone found anything resembling a wiki application for the BB? Either web based or internal to the BB, I can go with either right now. Also looking for any search utilities that would let me searchall my memos.

The general search feature doesnt help you? You can search for specific text in a memo or such or you can search by name.

I pulled a search for Chasity Scholl as text (not name) and this is what I found,

Messages (1)
Calendar (0)
Address Book (0)
Memo Pad (1)
Tasks (0)

Still not good enough?

I hadn't found that before. It helps a LOT for memos, but it doesn't help with contacts at all as it doesn't search city fields. For example, if I am in Memphis and want to look at all my Memphis contacts, that search doesn't do it.

I will start using it for memos though

Create filters. For instance, as a category for all your memphis contacts, select memphis category. You can add as many categories as you want. Contacts can be multiple categories as well. For instance you can have one person under memphis and employees. The only downfall, you can only filter one category at a time. Helps a good amount though
