Default Question about handheld software.

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I am just wondering if anyone had every tried downloading handheld OS which is different than the ones their carriers. i.e i have a TELUS 7510 but i was thinking of downloading TELUS or NEXTEL 4.1 for 7100i. My intent is to enhance my handheld with possibly supporting themes & ringtones.
So if anyone every tried this let me know.
Thanks in advance

NEXTEL software will work fine on your Telus MiKE iDEN 7510 unfortunately 4.1 won't. 4.1 will only run on 32MB plus devices and your 7510 only has 16MB 4.0.2.xx is as good as it gets for your model.

Default Sure Type

I, too, was skeptical about using SureType, but have found it to be a great tool! It takes a little getting used to. (Search the BB Forums for some certain caveat words when using ST.) Used in conjunction with BB shortcuts, ST is almost automatic. And, the more you use it the smarter it gets.

I would not throw out certain BB device decisions based solely on having to learn / use SureType...
