Default CEO wants to use BB instead of Laptop - 04-19-2006, 11:11 AM

I just had a director come up to me and tell me that the CEO was complaining that he cannot open PDF's, Video, Wavs and Pictures on a 7250. I know Videos and Wavs are out of the question but are there software applications to open the others? They were also asking if his assistant could accept his meeting requests from her blackberry.

I glanced around the site a bit but didn't see anything, I'm going to try and google a few things also.
Thanks

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Well, you can use relpligo professional to open pdf's, word, powerpoint, and excel files. You can use ascendo photo or something of the like to view photos.

First, explain to the CEO that the BlackBerry is not a full blown laptop. It is limited in what it can do compared to a laptop.

Check out the software at Handango. They have a number of application that will expand the BlackBerrys handling of PDF, pictures, or Microsoft Office documents. Be warned, not all of them are cheap. But he is the CEO, so I wouldnt think it would be a problem.

Edit: eOffice Professional Edition ($199) looks perfect for what you need, but I have never used it myself.
