Default Google Talk message notifiers - 04-21-2006, 11:34 AM

Hi,
I am wondering if I am missing something. I would like to set up Google Talk on my 8700 to alert me when I have a new message, but once I start chatting to not repeat the alert (at least for a certain number of minutes or something). It gets really annoying having the tone constantly going off. Anyone know a way around this? In the sound profile the only options appear to be 'Google Talk Alert' & 'Google Talk New Message'. The first is only if you set it up to notify you when a buddy comes online, the second sounds for every IM. Basically this forces me to have it muted and I keep missing messages. I don't use a holster so I can't use those profiles as a workaround...

Does this bother anyone else? Any hints?

in your profiles with you edit the google talk alert there is a first alert and alert if you play around with it you can get it to a less annoying state. i have to where it sound at first alert and then vibrates there after

Left my storm for a tour and havn't looked back!
