I'm having problems removing IM+ from my T-Mobile 8700g. I get an error on attempting to remove it on the 8700 like this "Uncaught exception: net.rim.vm.StackOverflowError" and IM+ is not listed on the Desktop Manager in order to remove it from there. Any help much appreciated. TIA.

On your BB, have you gone to Options / Advanced Options / Applications and tried to delete it there?

Hi yes I have..thats where I'm getting the error. Also I dont see IM+ listed on the Desktop Manager either so I'm kinda stuck on trying to remove it without wiping my bb clean.

I had a similar problem.

I believe I added it back in Dekstop managaer, then removed it via desktop manager to have it removed.

IM+ will not show up on the Desktop Manager if you did an Over-the-air (OTA) install. If it was not an OTA install, and are using multiple PC's for sync, be sure to use the the PC in which you loaded it, to do the uninstall.

If you still can not uninstall from the app screen or the Desktop Manager, try to load IM+ and then uninstall it from the Desktop Manager (a second time) -As Jef recommended.


After trying everything else to remove it......

Check to see if the app can be deleted from the modules area. While in Applications, click the wheel and select "Modules". Be sure to delete the IM+ app from this location. Then try to delete the app.

That's all I can think of ...
