And there's lots of photos of the 8700 (among other phones and BB's) all over their site. I see nothing but vapor at the moment. But with Jiveslide's clever integration with Flickr, I would imagine there's quite a market for an app that would let us see YouTube and/or Google Video content. It would be the same model JiveSlide uses: a third party's web application grabs the video, then re-encodes and streams it to your handheld.
I don't buy the "insufficient CPU" argument anymore. If my wife's Nokia 6102 can create and play back a thumbnail 3GP file, my 8700 certainly has the horsepower for basic video playback, within certain limitations I am willing to accept.
We're not goinig to be watching full length movies on our BlackBerries in airplanes anytime soon, but 10 to 30 second clips here and there seem quite doable. No?
