Ascendo Fitness

Has anyone tried this product? Any info about it would be greatly appreciated!

I guess everyone in Dallas now wants to look like T.O.... good luck. Dallas sucks!

kaj0005 04-28-2006 01:38 PM

Actually, I don't live in Dallas anymore. I'm not trying to look like T.O., I hate the guy, I'm diabetic an I'm trying to find a good nutrition application.

Glad to hear it. About T.O. anyway. Hopefully someone has used the app and can give you a review. Good luck

What's the terms of the Trial version? Limited amount of data entries or limited days, etc???

BerryCool 07-08-2006 08:25 AM

The trial period for Ascendo Fitness is for 7 days. There is a User Guide in the download you get from distributors and a FAQ page at http://www.ascendo-inc.com/FitnessFAQ.html

I use it. No problems. How well it will meet your needs depends on what you are looking for. As a simple food diary for watching total calories, it works for me. From my perspective, though, the data base is limited, but you can add your own entries, which I've had to do quite a bit. Only problem I found is that if you've added an entry to the data base and and then used it as an entry in the nutrition log, then deleted it from the data base, then the program will hang if you try and view nutrion progress. Hope that helps. I can try and answer more specific questions if you like.

By the way, when I upgraded to 4.1, the application transerred, but somehow I was back to the default data base. All my custome entries were gone and I had to start over.

BlackBerry OS 4.1 deletes application data along with the application. One way to save application data would be to backup, upgrade, then restore data use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, see http://www.ascendo-inc.com/FitnessFAQ.html
