Default Help With PocketDAy Sports

Please Login to Remove!

I added the sports module today, and need help on how to use it. SPecifically, what are the scoreboards?? I would like to be able to follow just one game (for example yankees v. redsox). My screen shows a whole listing of games for the day.

Personalize your scoreboard with your teams, then go to your scoreboard. Only the teams you picked that are playing that day will be displayed!

--Go to Add / Edit Scoreboard
--Select New Scoreboard
--Name it and select your teams
--Once done go to Switch Scoreboard, and select the one you just made!

Quoting myself... I'm not sure that what I said was right. I have PocketDay set to exit on escape and the Sports don't refresh unless it is open. (This seems to be different than the standalone version.) Anyway I'll post again when I figure it out.

Default Game Notes

I can't get the game notes feature to work, or at least work consistently. What is it supposed to do actually?

If you exit pocketday, sports won't refresh. Pocketday has to be open.

Game notes...just move the cursor to a game in progress and wait 2 seconds. The game notes will pop up.

Not entirly true. My pocket day sports stand alone refreshes (in the backgroung) unil the stop refresh time is reached. I never have it open for more than a few seconds to check the score and it refreshes like clock work.

EIDT: I understand NOW that you were talking about regular pocket day and NOT pockert day sports right?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I received and email response from the developer to my question about adding a 'start refresh' time.

I think it would be great to have a start and stop refresh time as then I can look when my 1st and last teams play that day and set the start and stop times to correspond with that. Here is the response I got.

---"We'll be adding a start time shortly'"---

KEWL! I can't wait for the update to the app!

This app blows away the sports option on Berry 411

Default Pocketday Sports

I use the app and I love it, but I am having some issues with it on the 8700c. Periodically the MLB gameday listing does not appear. All I get is the pocketday sports copyright info, as opposed to the listing of all games to be played that day. This also affects my scoreboard as well. I am running the latest versions, and I have the firewall disabled. I am not using BES, but rather just an individual data plan via cingular. I have been in contact with Pocketday support, and I have rebooted several times to no avail. Any suggestions?

It does that to me as well 1st thing in the morning. By mid-morning tho it does refresh with the games for that day.

The games for the current day aren't available until 10am EST. Until then, nothing will show up. You can look at yeaterdays results and todays schedule should be available on the standings / Schedule for the corresponding sport.

The stand-alone version of this program is working much better for me than the version integrated with the summary screen in PocketDay. The latter is not reliable on refreshing whereas the stand-alone version is functioning very well indeed.
EDIT: I now have them both working equally well. I posted on this on another thread.
